Delsa is a local photographer born and raised in the Pinedale area with the Wind River Mountains looking over her. Her photos started appearing in a local newspaper when she was still in high school. After attending Northwest Collage in Powell, Wyoming and earning a degree in photography, she came back to her home, the Winds. She was determined not to find herself in a photojournalist career in hopes of focusing on her passion for landscapes and nature photography. Before too long, finding herself stocking shelves at the local grocery store, she had the opportunity to work full-time at the Pinedale Roundup as a photographer/reporter. After working for the Pinedale Roundup for a number of years, she made a move to a new newspaper in town, the Sublette Examiner as the photo editor. During the time spent as a photojournalist, Delsa racked up many state and national awards for her photography. From the nearly 10 years in photojournalism, she gained an approach to photography that would strengthen her view as a photographer in general. She then began to feel as though she was loosing focus on her true photography love and so took a job in 2005 for the Sublette County Conservation District away from photogaphy to assist in an important local water quality monitoring program. In her spare time she gets out when she can to shoot what drives her passion in photography: the surround landscape in all it's wonderful beauty.
